Luke's Last Spring Break?
Luke Bryan will return for his seventh - and reportedly his last - free Spring Break concert dates this year. The all-ages shows will be March 11 and 12 at Spinnaker Beach Club, and will coincide with the release of Bryan's last Spring Break album, "Checkin' Out."
2015 Seabreeze lineup
The Seabreeze Jazz Festival returns to Panama City Beach on April 22-26 with live performances at the Aaron Bessant Park Amphitheater in Pier Park. Award-winning Canadian guitarist Rob Tardik was just added. Gulf Coast Salute Returns
After a three-year break, Tyndall Air Force Base will once again host the Gulf Coast Salute 2015 Air Show and Open House, April 11 and 12, 2015. The event will be highlighted by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds' graceful and jaw-dropping aerial maneuvers, joined by the U.S. Army Golden Knights. Numerous other ground displays and aerial attractions, food, games and more will be on-site. Details will follow as the Air Force releases information.
Heart tickets go on sale
The Wilson sisters and their band, better known as Heart, will perform live at the Marina Civic Center in Panama City Feb. 27, 2015. Advance tickets go on sale Friday, Dec. 19, through promoter Hess Entertainment.
Free Community Day
Northstar Church is partnering with Miracle Strip Amusement Park
for free Community Day from noon to 6 p.m. Dec. 20. Admission and rides at Miracle Strip will be free to the public, and everyone is welcome.
Seabreeze Winery Closing
After more than a decade of crafting muscadine wine, SeaBreeze Winery has corked its last bottle. Owner Lynn Webb announced plans to retire and close the county's only winery on Dec. 31. SeaBreeze opened in Panama City Beach in July 2003.
Tony Bennett Tickets
Tony Bennett, the 17-time Grammy Award-winning crooner, will appear at the Marina Civic Center in February. Tickets start at $50 and premium sales ($100-$130) are under way through the promoter, Hess Entertainment.
Mia, a 9-year-old Bottlenose Dolphin, gave birth to a baby at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 25 at Gulf World Marine Park. This baby is Gulf World's first attempt at artificial insemination.
The eighth annual Digital Graffiti at Alys Beach - the world's first projection art festival on Scenic Highway 30A - will take place over three summer evenings beginning Thursday, June 4, through Saturday, June 6. Tickets for Digital Graffiti, named one of the must-not miss "52 Amazing Weekends" by Florida Travel and Life magazine, will go on sale in March at DigitalGraffiti.com.
Award of Excellence
Fish Out of Water, a Florida Trend Golden Spoon Award winning-restaurant at WaterColor Inn and Resort, has received the 2014 Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator magazine. On Aug. 19 in celebration of receiving the award, Fish Out of Water is offering a complimentary glass of select wine with each entree purchased when guests mention the award.
